An out-of-nowhere router ban. The U.S. just quietly banned new models of all foreign-made WiFi routers ... and hardly anyone saw it coming. The sweeping FCC move expands what was once a narrow security concern into a rule that could seriously affect almost every major router brand on the market. The good news: For now, your current router is fine. But what happens when the rest of the world moves on to new hardware, and the U.S. doesn't? Only time will tell.
