The illusion of time. While we tend to organize our lives all around time, maybe physics doesn’t actually need it. Some researchers argue that time isn’t a fundamental feature of the universe at all, but rather, something that emerges from how systems change and relate to each other. In certain quantum frameworks, the past, present, and future all exist at once, and what we experience as “flow” is more like a shifting perspective. Trippy.
