We started Brooklyn Brew Shop at a tent in an outdoor market back in 2009.

The idea was pretty simple. Making beer should be easy and fun. Honestly, brewing should feel just like cooking. We'd only design recipes using the same real ingredients as craft breweries (so no extracts or sugar powders). And our Beer Making Kits needed to be attractive and compact so they didn't take over kitchens.

That was 11 years ago--and our goals remain the same today.

Thanks to your support, we've remained an independently owned small business. We've written two books full of brewing recipes and developed a whole new line of kits called FarmSteady (Check it out if you'd like other DIY cooking and fermentation projects). We've seen our customers go on to become brewers and even start breweries.

To this day, we build our kits in New York and send them to folks around the world.
